A Production Planner is needed in the San Jose, CA area for an American corporation that supplies equipment, services and software for the manufacture of semiconductor chips for electronics, flat panel displays for computers, smartphones, televisions, and solar products. This role manages production schedules, coordinates issue resolution, and processes orders in ERP, with a preference for SAP experience.

responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the production schedule to align with business capacity needs.
- Track design progress with the engineering team to obtain the bill of materials for order fulfillment.
- Release production orders in the ERP system to initiate the build process.
- Lead daily production meetings to coordinate issue resolution across departments and ensure target ship dates are met.
- Finalize production orders and calculate costs for finished goods delivery.
- Familiarity with SAP ERP system is preferred.
