responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-frequency transformers optimized for efficiency, thermal management, and electromagnetic compatibility.
- Innovate magnetic core materials and winding techniques for enhanced performance in high-frequency applications.
- Create power converters for AC-DC, DC-AC, and AC-AC conversion, utilizing advanced topologies like boost converters, full-bridge inverters, and matrix converters.
- Design and optimize DC-DC converters with various topologies for efficient voltage and current management.
- Implement and optimize switching methods such as hard switching, soft switching (ZVS, ZCS), and pulse-width modulation for peak performance.
- Develop and fine-tune control algorithms to maintain converter stability and efficiency under dynamic load conditions.
- Lead R&D initiatives, exploring emerging technologies in magnetics, materials, and power electronics.
- Stay informed on industry trends, applying new insights to enhance ongoing and future projects.
- Utilize simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE) to model transformer and converter performance, conducting thermal, electrical, and magnetic analysis.
- Prepare detailed reports, technical papers, and specifications to document and communicate design findings.
- Ensure product compliance with industry standards and regulations, devising strategies for certification.
- Act as a subject matter expert in magnetics and power electronics, representing automation at customer meetings and technical conferences.
- Mentor junior engineers, sharing expertise and driving continuous improvement within the team.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred).
- 8-12 years of experience in power electronics, with a focus on high-frequency transformers and power converter topologies.
- In-depth knowledge of AC-DC, DC-DC, and DC-AC system design.
- Proficiency in programming for control algorithms, with experience in languages/tools like C/C++, Python, and MATLAB.
- Solid expertise in magnetic design, thermal management, and power electronics simulation.
- Advanced mathematical and analytical skills, with a focus on statistical tools and electrical principles.
- Proven experience in leading R&D initiatives, managing technical projects, and driving innovation within teams.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively in various professional settings.
