An industry-leading high-precision component manufacturer is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team near Rochester, New York. This company has been established for over 70 years with customers in the Aerospace, Defense, and medical device industries. This position works with engineering, manufacturing, and product management to provide professional quality guidance to assess, correct, and maintain product quality.
The salary is commensurate with experience up to $90K plus excellent health & retirement benefits. All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers to complete source inspections
- INCR/NCR investigation
- Complete analysis of incoming products and approve all product receipts
- Inspect and test materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met
- First line escalation for problem parts
- Create bubble prints for new jobs
- Compile inspection reports per operation
- Create gage box requirements - including specification and ordering of gages
- Identify customer flow-down requirements
- Review and compare quality plans
- Collaborate with operation managers to develop and improve process controls
- Develop corrective actions, solutions, and improvements

- Experience level: Experienced
- Minimum 4 years of experience
- Education: Bachelors
