Under the supervision of a licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), the Laboratory Equipment Maintenance and Support Technician assists in the operation of automated equipment and performs laboratory maintenance to support high-complexity tests. This role is responsible for maintaining lab equipment, ensuring the efficient functioning of liquid-handling robots and array scanners, and supporting daily production goals through accurate and timely lab processes
Job Requirements:
- Education: BSc or MS in Molecular Biology or related field.
- Experience: 1+ years of molecular biology laboratory experience preferred.
- Skills: Detail-oriented, organized, and adept at handling lab tasks independently and within teams. Demonstrates problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to new tasks.

- Laboratory Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
- Maintains and operates automated laboratory equipment, including liquid-handling robots and array scanners.
- Performs daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
- Assists licensed CLS staff with automated equipment used for high-complexity tests as directed by the lab supervisor.

- Follows laboratory procedures for specimen handling, preparation, and data entry into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Processes DNA samples through the Infinum assay according to established protocols.
- Documents batch records accurately and reports any deviations that may occur during processing.

- Troubleshooting and Issue Escalation:
- Conducts basic troubleshooting of lab equipment and systems.
- Recognizes when to escalate issues and reports them to engineering through the ticketing system.

- Maintains lab supplies, consumables, and reagents to ensure sufficient stock for uninterrupted operations.
- Tracks lab incidents and maintains inventory records as per lab protocols.

- Team Collaboration and Communication:
