Transmission Line Designer opportunity with a client located just north of the Atlanta, GA area. The ideal candidate will have expertise in PLS-CADD and be skilled in the design of overhead transmission lines. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional looking to work in a dynamic team environment, providing engineering support for major utility projects. The Transmission Line Designer will be responsible for ensuring designs are optimized for performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.

responsibilities:
- Design and analyze high-voltage transmission lines using PLS-CADD, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Prepare engineering documentation, including design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, such as project managers and field engineers, to ensure project alignment and timely completion.
- Conduct site assessments and surveys as needed, evaluating design feasibility and identifying potential challenges.
- Provide technical support during construction phases and assist in troubleshooting design issues.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in transmission line design, with demonstrated proficiency in PLS-CADD.
- Associates degree in Electrical Engineering, Technical School training, or the equivalent combination of education and-or industry experience.
- Solid understanding of transmission line standards, materials, and construction methods.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
