A leader in commercial HVAC servicing is seeking an Estimator to join its team in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
As Estimator, you will be working on commercial HVAC and mechanical systems-overseeing construction projects for new systems and upgrades. The Estimator will review drawings and specs and provide detailed cost estimates and big packages for the work. You should be able to communicate with contractors and clients for alignment on project updates and handle takeoffs for the projects. As Estimator, you will also input comprehensive notes and information into the estimating software and work closely with the Project Manager. Typical projects will include chilled water, condenser water, glycol, refrigeration and HVAC for schools, high rise condos and office buldings, data centers, plants and universities.
Candidates should have either a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or construction and 3+ years experience. More experience may be substituted for a degree. You must hold a valid driver's license as local travel to job sites is required and travel will be reimbursed. You must understand blueprint reading, piping and HVAC equipment, and reading specs.
