We are searching for a Mechanical Drafter/Designer in Cambridge, MA to work in the R&D department of an industry leading company. Candidates should have 5+ years experience in mechanical design and drafting of machined, casted, sheet metal, and/or plastic molded components. Experience with medical devices is a plus.
This is a contract position expected to last 6 months and could be longer.

responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Engineering and Quality team to capture design outputs for a novel medical device
- Develop and manage documentation including CAD models, fabrication drawing, procedures, BOMs, and specifications
- Build and manage an accurate 3D CAD model of a novel and complex medical device.
- Generate and manage fabrication drawings for all elements of the medical device.
- Generate and manage specification documents.
- Generate and manage BOMs
- Manage all documents accurately in a QMS
