A Construction Inspector is needed for a leader in the world of Technical Services and Engineering in Brooklyn, Queens, or Staten Island, NY areas. This role involves overseeing construction work on infrastructure repairs in New York City's five boroughs, documenting payment quantities, and communicating project progress to the client's construction managers.

responsibilities:
- Work alongside the client's contractors, who are responsible for the construction work.
- Oversee repairs to existing subsurface utilities and infrastructure, including public streets.
- Ensure the contractors follow proper procedures for trenching, shoring, utility repair, etc.
- Document payment quantities such as personnel, excavation volumes, and material quantities.
- Assist in justifying contractor invoices based on documented quantities.
- Regular communication with the client's construction managers about the project's progress.
- Be the point of contact for construction updates and site conditions.
- Technical degree and construction management experience are preferred.
- 3-5 years of exp. (not much more).
- Hazwoper certification is a plus.
- 30-hour OSHA Construction certification is a plus.
