Our client, a leader in the manufacturing of industrial engines and engine services, is looking for an Environmental Compliance Assistant in the Lincolnshire, IL area. Key qualifications include, 3-5 years of experience with off-road industrial gasoline and/or diesel engines. An associate degree in a relevant field or currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program is required.

responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance with emissions requirements, including managing delegated assembly contracts, monthly and annual reports, and related documentation. Duties include collecting, reviewing, and processing compliance data from OEMs, distributors, and captive companies; providing guidance on compliance systems and policies; and coordinating with stakeholders to improve emissions compliance knowledge.
Manage exempt engine tracking and reporting per EPA standards, addressing chemical and material compliance inquiries, supporting product safety regulation research, and processing emissions data and label requests. The role includes preparing compliance presentations, reports, and bulletins; facilitating customer and agency communications; handling special projects; and maintaining organized records while adhering to safety and confidentiality guidelines.
