A Simulation Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Mossville, IL area. The Simulation Engineer is responsible for executing and communicating results of ePowertrain system performance simulations, documenting processes, and developing advanced simulation capabilities in collaboration with component and sub-system teams.

responsibilities:
- Execute ePowertrain NPI simulation requests to analyze system performance and durability.
- Communicate simulation results and key learnings effectively to relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and document core simulation processes to ensure consistency and quality.
- Ensure adherence to established simulation processes.
- Report progress on simulation requests to the team and stakeholders.
- Document significant findings from simulation activities for future reference.
- Contribute to the development of new simulation capabilities for advanced performance prediction.
- strong communication skills for effective interaction with engineering teams.
- Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Master's or Ph.D. in a focused area within Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of 1D system simulation experience.
