National manufacturer is seeking a direct-hire EHS Specialist. This position will be located near McDonough, Georgia. The EHS Specialist will help mitigate risk and identify key safety and regulatory requirements within the manufacturing plant transportation and distribution departments.
The salary is commensurate with experience ranging up to $120K, plus other great benefits! All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

responsibilities:
- Apply risk management and engineering principles to drive EHS risk reduction efforts and compliance activities
- Provide technical support, comple comprehensive risk assessments, develop, and deploy EHS programs
- Ensure full and consistent compliance to hazardous and dangerous goods handling, storage, and transportation regulation
- Lead or participate in serious EHS incident investigations and ensure appropriate communication and tracking items to closure
- Participate on EHS audits, audit program management, or self-assessment standard development
