A Senior Tooling & Equipment Engineer is needed for a multinational manufacturing company that produces and distributes trucks, buses and construction equipment, as well as marine and industrial drive systems in the Macungie, PA area. The Senior Tooling & Equipment Engineer designs, implements, and maintains assembly tools and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production, collaborating across teams and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

responsibilities:
- Design and procure tools for assembly, including fastening tools, lifting systems, carts, fixtures, and jigs.
- Benchmark and adapt existing equipment from other facilities for local use.
- Deploy tools with minimal operational disruption, prioritizing safety, quality, and uptime.
- Apply tooling and maintenance standards to ensure reliability and availability.
- Provide input on tooling solutions during product development to mitigate risks.
- Lead technical efforts for major industrial projects, including budgeting and execution.
- Collaborate with process engineers, production teams, safety experts, and maintenance staff.
- Support equipment maintenance and performance during design reviews and EEM projects.
- Participate in global engineering networks to implement optimal designs and standards.
- Proficiency in Catia, Creo, AutoCAD, and 2D/3D engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with PDM systems like ENOVIA or Windchill.
- Experience with cost estimates and building business cases.
- Practical knowledge of ergonomic standards and OSHA/ISO/ANSI guidelines.
- GD&T knowledge and practical application.
- strong computer skills, including Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint, and other O365 tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage projects and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's or
- Master's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical preferred) or
- Associate's degree with equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of tooling and equipment engineering experience.
