A Quality Engineer is needed for a leader in power and automation technologies in the Houston, TX area. The Quality Engineer oversees quality assurance, safety compliance, and project execution for eHouse systems by conducting inspections, resolving issues, ensuring adherence to standards, and fostering vendor relationships to deliver high-quality, customer-focused results.

responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for the quality of assigned eHouse projects.
- Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan for assigned jobs.
- Perform structural, mechanical, and electrical in-process inspections of eHouses at vendor locations.
- Identify quality defects or non-conformance issues and generate Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) to vendors.
- Lead the closure of open quality issues on projects.
- Coordinate Integrated Factory Acceptance Tests (IFAT) with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Lead the resolution of punch list elements before shipment.
- Ensure adherence to established quality procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Verify all checklists are completed and signed off prior to shipment release of eHouses.
- Develop a safety plan for the project and ensure compliance with EHS processes by all parties.
- Fluent in English, Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
- Previous experience with eHouses, including LV and MV equipment.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, MS Project, and other project management tools.
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA).
- At least 3 years of field experience in the electrical distribution industry.
- Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in quality, manufacturing, supply chain, or field services.
