A Physical Build Project Manager is needed for a multinational manufacturing company that produces and distributes trucks, buses and construction equipment, as well as marine and industrial drive systems in the Greensboro, NC area. The Physical Build Project Manager leads, plans, and coordinates the physical build and test activities within product development projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements, managing scope, cost, and schedule, and utilizing advanced knowledge and experience to resolve complex issues.

responsibilities:
- Support the organization in planning, coordinating, and following up on build and test activities for projects.
- Ensure proper alignment between systems and physical test objects according to project requirements.
- Lead, plan, organize, and control Physical Build activities in close cooperation with the project team and PME within Product Development projects.
- Meet project prototype needs for Physical Builds and parts, ensuring they meet specified requirements.
- Manage projects or subprojects with limited complexity within a program or portfolio, from initiation to completion.
- Take full responsibility for defining and managing scope, cost, schedule, quality, and risks, ensuring delivery on agreed project objectives.
- Work independently with limited supervision, addressing complex problems.
- May support more complex project work from lead project manager.
- Apply advanced knowledge typically obtained through education and work experience (typically requiring 5+ years of relevant experience).
- Certification in project management may be required.
- Manage the bill of material for physical builds (experience with CAD/CREO is a plus).
