A great prestigious client is looking for a Quality Inspector to join their team on a contract basis. The inspector will be responsible for reviewing all outgoing materials, components, assemblies, and products prior to shipment, ensuring they are free from damage, complete, properly packed, and in compliance with shipping documentation. The role also involves inspecting irregularly shaped sheet metal, extruded parts, castings, forgings, machined components, welded assemblies, major assemblies, subsystems, and similar items to verify conformance to specifications and workmanship standards. The ideal candidate must have prior inspection experience and be proficient in working with drawings, specifications, and engineering changes.

responsibilities:
- Inspect irregularly shaped sheet metal, extruded parts, castings, forgings, machined parts, welded assemblies, major assemblies, details, subsystems, and other similar components to ensure conformance to specifications and workmanship standards.
- Work from engineering drawings, specifications, engineering changes, written/verbal instructions, logbooks, receiving reports, and other similar documentation
- Examine all outgoing materials, components, assemblies, and other products prior to shipment, checking for damage, completeness, proper packing, and compliance with shipping documentation.
- Perform the above duties in alignment with established guidelines and procedures
- Work from engineering drawings, specifications, engineering changes, written/verbal instructions, logbooks, receiving reports, and other similar documentation.
- Inspect complex machined parts, weldments, castings, forgings, and extrusions, ensuring dimensional accuracy and conformity to specifications.
- Establish reference points for parts with multiple related dimensions and check inter-related dimensions across different planes and surfaces.
- Perform inspections of assemblies, verifying accuracy of related dimensions, alignment, and weld integrity for parts of average complexity.
- For more complex or average parts, establish inspection procedures, set check points, and improvise inspection aids to facilitate the process.
- Inspect small parts, sub-assemblies, and major assemblies for conformity to specifications, tolerances, and workmanship standards. Check for secure fastening, alignment, and proper assembly.
- Stamp or approve inspection logs for items that meet specifications and present them for customer certification and acceptance.
- Prepare and maintain required records and associated paperwork.
- Requirements:
- Must have inspection experience
- Must be able to work from drawings, specifications, engineering changes, written and verbal information, logbooks, receiving reports and other similar data
- Intermediate computer literacy skills required.
- Must have at least a High School Diploma/GED and some warehouse experience
