A Civil/Structural Designer Professional is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Houston, TX area. This role involves supporting structural engineering design by producing deliverables, developing analysis models, reviewing technical documents, and providing construction support, with a focus on steel structures and collaboration across engineering disciplines.

responsibilities:
- Originate structural engineering deliverables such as steel calculations and specifications.
- Develop structural analysis models using GTSTRUDL, STAAD, or similar software.
- Review and coordinate technical documents with other engineering disciplines.
- Prepare technical reports related to specific design issues.
- Assist in constructability reviews.
- Familiar with structural analysis software such as GTSTRUDL, STAAD, or similar.
- Familiar with Mathcad or similar software.
- Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills.
- strong planning and organizational skills.
- Experience with CADD applications such as MicroStation, Tekla, and Navisworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering (or related field) from an accredited university or college.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
