Large utility is looking for a Gas Measurement Engineer in Lansing, MI. The Gas Measurement Engineer will provide technical expertise in measurement equipment for capital projects, coordinating with various internal departments to ensure proper design, procurement, and installation, while focusing on gas measurement and compliance with safety codes. responsibilities:
- Project scoping, design engineering, and design review/support (50%).
- Equipment/material procurement and construction coordination/support (30%).
- Equipment specification and development of department standards (10%).
- Field/O&M technical support (10%).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical writing experience in engineering specifications.
- Team collaboration with diverse responsibilities.
- Project engineering experience.
- Ability to diagnose and address process gaps (problem-solving).
- Advanced degree in a technical or scientific field.
- Energy industry background, specifically in natural gas chromatography and metering equipment.
- Knowledge of gas measurement equipment and electronic flow measurement.
- Understanding of relevant codes (AGA, API, PHMSA, gas measurement codes).
- Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Proficiency in software applications (Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, Arriba, measurement software).
