The final Assembly Production Engineering Department seeks a highly motivated Engineer - Assembly Equipment to support new model preparation. Reporting to the Assembly Engineering Manager, you will contribute to Assembly Process and Equipment Development for new model launches, refurbishments, and Kaizen initiatives.
1 year contract!
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience in an Assembly Engineering role.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in:
- Production Engineering or Manufacturing Preparation.
- Equipment sourcing, design, and installation.
- 3D modeling and prototype part printing.
- Production Engineering or Manufacturing Preparation.
- Availability for up to 20% overtime and travel (including Japan).
- Experience with one or more new model launch preparations.
- Hands on experience with hand tools and machine equipment preferred.
- Assembly Production Engineering experience.
- Equipment controls experience.
- Completion of TBP through panel.
- Autocad and Solidworks

responsibilities:
- Project Planning (10%): Coordinate upcoming model changes.
- Simultaneous Engineering (20%): Collaborate with Toyota teams (TMC & TTC) on vehicle assembly.
- Project Management (70%):
- Develop processes and procure equipment.
- Conduct 3D CAD modeling and study 2D drawings.
- Analyze vehicle structures.
- Design and install equipment.
- Design processes and support new vehicle trials.
- Foster collaboration across internal and external Toyota groups, including NAMCs, TMC, TTC, and Plano divisions.
- Develop processes and procure equipment.
