A Manufacturing Technician is needed for a multinational corporation that is involved in the design, development, manufacturing, and worldwide marketing and sales of athletic apparel, equipment, accessories, and services in the Beaverton, OR area. This position will support 3D printing operations, prototype development, and innovative manufacturing processes in a collaborative, fast-paced environment to drive high-quality footwear creation and accelerate product innovation.

- Support daily operations in the lab, including multiple 3D printing technologies (SLS, SDM, FDM, and Objet):
- Understand the pros and cons of each technology.
- Learn their application in accelerating footwear decision-making.
- Perform daily post-process operations to deliver parts to stakeholders.
- Understand the pros and cons of each technology.
- Maintain and prepare lab equipment for printing:
- Become a technical expert in machine maintenance and preparation.
- Manage raw materials inventory and coordinate reordering with the materials team.
- Become a technical expert in machine maintenance and preparation.
- Test and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with engineers and specialists.
- Operate machines safely, adhering to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Learn digital components, including intake requests, creating builds, and notifying stakeholders.
- Focus on additive manufacturing to enhance product performance, quality, and speed to market.
- Execute tasks with flexibility and urgency, adapting to changing timelines, projects, and deadlines.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with:
- Additive Engineers and Specialists.
- Conceptors, Materials, and Maintenance teams.
- Global Footwear, Innovation, and Dimension teams.
- Additive Engineers and Specialists.
- Deliver high-quality footwear prototypes in the Bowerman Footwear Lab (BFL).
- Work on performance, lifestyle, and sample footwear models.
- Education: Associates or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Additive Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field (preferred).
- Experience:
- 2+ years in 3D additive manufacturing or a related industry.
- Familiarity with multiple 3D printing platforms (SLS, SDM, FDM, and Objet).
