Seeking an Assistant Project Manager in Akron, OH. This role involves daily coordination with project engineers, client management, and sponsors. This individual will support several major clients in the Akron area and will join a team managing the scope, schedule, and budget of medium to large T&D projects.
An engineering degree with 4 years of experience as an engineer in an industrial role are required. A desire to learn project management skills and excellent communication is critical to success.

responsibilities:
- Engage daily with planning portfolio engineers, client management, and sponsors to craft a comprehensive long-term portfolio plan, integrating current projects and strategic planning initiatives.
- Ensure that projects within the portfolio leverage synergies for maximum efficiency and alignment.
- Participate in budget planning sessions with various client stakeholders, such as general managers and supervisors, to incorporate the long-term plan effectively.
- Collaborate with multiple client stakeholders to schedule transmission projects by assessing feasibility, budget constraints, and necessity.
- Aid the client in formulating a 10-year strategic plan.
- Assist in developing and compiling the client's rate filings for PJM.
- Verify the accuracy and scope of engineering estimates through comprehensive reviews.
- Assess and reconcile project change requests, including scope and in-service dates, with the current and long-term portfolio plans.
- Coordinate with outage teams to integrate regional projects, ensuring no conflicts and considering project constructability and the long-term strategy.
- Provide informal mentoring and training to the client's portfolio engineers on T&D design and project management.
- Collaborate with the client's accounting department to establish the financial framework for projects.
- Generate analyses and reports to help clients track, coordinate, and execute projects efficiently.
- Develop baseline scopes, schedules, and budgets to distribute to various client stakeholders.
