A Nanofabrication Engineer is needed for an American multinational technology company that develops, manufactures, licenses, supports, and sells computer software, consumer electronics, personal computers, and related services in the West Lafayette, IN area. The Nanofabrication engineer with expertise in semiconductor device fabrication, lithography, and cleanroom processes to support quantum hardware development through hands-on microfabrication, testing, and process optimization.

responsibilities:
- Support projects related to the development and characterization of semiconductor materials and devices for topological qubits.
- Contribute to emerging quantum hardware technologies.
- Develop new process steps and flows for semiconductor device fabrication.
- Favorable expertise includes ebeam lithography, atomic layer deposition, and gate dielectric characterization.
- Conduct microfabrication or nanofabrication of semiconductor materials and devices.
- Work with semiconductor dies, specifically small chips (not whole wafers).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency at accurately documenting processes and protocols.
- strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Require technical skills in lithography and handling small semiconductor components.
- Ph.D. in Physics, Materials Science/Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 2-3 years experience with microfabrication or nanofabrication of semiconductor materials or devices.
- Minimum 2-3 years experience with lithography, either optical lithography or EB lithography.
- Minimum 2-3 years experience with semiconductor dies, specifically handling small chips.
