responsibilities:
- Manage small projects and support lower-complexity projects to ensure completion on time and within budget.
- Plan, implement, monitor quality, report status, and close assigned projects and tasks.
- Support the Project Lifecycle Process (PLP), including preparation of plans, schedules, and standardized project deliverables.
- Assist with financial forecasting and reconcile resources and project expenditures.
- Develop and manage project execution plans and metrics for assigned projects.
- Collaborate with the Project Scheduling group to create and communicate project schedules, incorporating risk mitigation strategies.
- Communicate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders, including outside agencies.
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and constraints, and develop contingency plans.
- Project management, planning, and organizational skills.
- Verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to earn trust, motivate teams, and resolve conflicts.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering or business experience with demonstrated ability to lead medium-to-large projects.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred (required within 3 years of starting).
