responsibilities:
- Design site electrical power, lighting, HVAC, pressure and temperature instruments, electrical valve actuators, and SCADA equipment.
- Ensure compliance with National Electric Code (NEC) and NFPA 70 for hazardous locations.
- Design and interpret AC and DC electrical schematics.
- Specify and apply digital pressure and temperature instrumentation.
- Work with analog/4-20mA signals and control systems.
- Provide technical support during construction phases.
- Assist with electrical construction practices and troubleshooting on-site issues.
- Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Operations, Supply Chain, Project Management, etc.) to ensure project success.
- Conduct product and process research to support project goals.
- Competent written and verbal communication to interact with multiple stakeholders.
- Presentation skills for design and drawing reviews.
- Knowledge of electrical systems for hazardous locations, oil and gas facilities, and compliance with NFPA 70 and NEC.
- Experience with electrical schematics and control systems (AC/DC).
- Familiarity with SCADA/PLC systems and instrumentation applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited program) or similar technical degrees.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is desirable.
- Familiarity with Project Management Institute's PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) is a plus.
