Key qualifications include 5 years of experience in municipal, consulting, or related fields, a background in hydrology and hydraulics, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Acrobat, or Bluebeam Revu. A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field is required.

This full-time role optimizes waterway systems through data review, field assessments, and guiding consultants on civil studies and designs. It involves reviewing engineering studies, developing RFPs, and ensuring compliance with codes for lift stations, weir systems, and pipelines. Responsibilities include solving design issues, coordinating across disciplines, and establishing design standards. The role also involves liaising with officials to ensure compliance and occasionally serving as Engineer of Record.
