A Test Engineer is needed for a company that manufactures and sells marking, tracking and computer printing technologies in the Holtsville, NY area.The Test Engineer conducts EMC testing and ensures compliance with relevant standards for mobile computing devices, barcode scanners, and RFID products, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and integrate EMC best practices.

responsibilities:
- Execute EMC testing schedules, ensuring timely completion of compliance activities.
- Conduct radiated and conducted emissions, immunity tests, and other relevant EMC assessments.
- Utilize test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, amplifiers, and network analyzers.
- Work with cross-functional teams to align on project goals, timelines, and EMC integration.
- Provide technical guidance on EMC design principles (grounding, shielding, filtering, layout).
- Prepare and review EMC compliance documentation, including test plans, reports, and technical files.
- Identify and troubleshoot EMC issues through detailed analysis and testing.
- Recommend and implement improvements to EMC processes and procedures.
- Proficiency in using EMC test equipment and software (e.g., TDK, EMC32, TILE).
- Experience with spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, power meters, amplifiers, ESD simulators, radiated/conducted immunity, and EFT/Surge testing.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in an EMC testing lab environment.
- Knowledge of international EMC standards (CISPR, IEC, EN61000-4-2:11, FCC Part 15, EN 55032).
