An Inventory and Warehouse Management Professional is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Kennedy Space Center, FL area. The Material Management Specialist will oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials for construction and manage procurement documentation, and ensure compliance with government property regulations, while providing supervision and training to team members.

responsibilities:
- Directs physical count and inspection of incoming material.
- Reviews purchase order documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
- Ensures completeness and accuracy of Material Receiving Reports (MRRs).
- Documents unsatisfactory over, short, and damaged conditions of material; ensures corrective actions are completed and formal reports are prepared.
- Supervises assigned personnel to ensure proper storage and recording of materials.
- Reviews physical inventories regularly to maintain valid records.
- Participates in the project materials protection program.
- Maintains custody of project materials and disposes of surplus materials as directed.
- Prepares shipping documents and registers for materials shipped offsite.
- Develops jobsite instructions for material management tasks.
- Provides on-the-job training for assigned employees.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in Traffic and Logistics.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or Construction Management, with one year of related experience in procurement.
- Alternatively, High school diploma or equivalent and at least 7 years of progressive experience in procurement.
