A Project Control Cost Manager is needed for a leader in the world of Technical Services and Engineering in the Syracuse, NY area. The Cost Manager leads the Project Control Cost team within the PMO to manage and optimize project costs, schedules, and performance for large-scale industrial projects, ensuring alignment with budgets, quality standards, and contractual obligations.

responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and resolve complex project control issues.
- Interface with clients, providing regular updates and statistical reports on project progress.
- Analyze, evaluate, and forecast project schedules and costs, ensuring alignment with established baselines.
- Coordinate staffing needs, supervise project activities, and provide training to project teams.
- Lead performance reviews and support the professional development of assigned employees.
- Collect and analyze historical data for accurate future planning and forecasting.
- Assess the impact of design changes and schedule delays, providing solutions as needed.
- Maintain systems to track and report on project schedules, keeping management informed.
- strong engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or related fields.
- Proficiency with Project Controls software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven leadership skills to manage complex projects.
- Familiarity with industry practices and project management methodologies.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 12+ years in project controls (15+ years preferred) covering cost, scheduling, and change management.
