Global manufacturer is seeking a Remote Field Service Engineer. Position involves about 60-70% travel nationally and internationally, with overtime paid at 1.5 over 40 hours. At least Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar required, will consider military technical training programs. Minimum 2-3 years of experience with troubleshooting and repair of industrial automation systems such as metals, paper, marine, cranes desired. Knowledge of analog and digital circuits, configuration of AC/DC drives, AC/DC Motor Theory, PLC's, and HMI's required. Experience with battery energy, solar or renewable energy highly desired. Must be open to travel in U.S. and Internationall and not afraid of heights.

responsibilities:
- Provide on-site and remote support of standard and custom power conversion products, assemblies, and systems; including AC and DC Low Voltage Drives, Inverters for Battery Energy Storage & EV charging, Medium Voltage Drives, PLC's, and HMI's for both industrial and renewable energy applications.
- Interface with customers to conduct troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of cranes and other electromechanical systems
- Work with motors, generators, drives and power quality systems
- Provide hands-on training to customers
- Work with in-house engineers on project design and testing of drive systems
- Participate in after-service activities
- Provide emergency field service as needed for customers
- Minimum Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar; will consider military experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work heights without fear
- Must be able to pass federal background check

- Experience using electronic test equipment
- Experience with low voltage drives
