A Materials Coordinator is needed for a company that transports, distributes and generates energy, with diversified assets that include a balance between crude oil and natural gas in the Superior, WI area. The Materials Coordinator manages supply chain operations by forecasting material needs, ensuring inventory accuracy, optimizing processes, evaluating suppliers, and implementing cost-effective solutions to meet operational requirements.

responsibilities:
- Analyze and forecast raw material or resource requirements to meet operational needs.
- Perform cost-benefit analysis to evaluate the efficiency of material procurement and usage.
- Manage inventory to ensure accuracy and focus on process improvements.
- Analyze root causes of inventory issues and develop programs to resolve them.
- Identify and target areas for cost reduction in materials and processes.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize material usage and reduce waste.
- Assist in developing a reporting and tracking system to monitor material returns and credits issued.
- Ensure the system consolidates monthly data for material value and return reports.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Experience with Oracle or SAP for transactional processes, data analysis, and reporting.
- Detail-oriented and strong communication skills.
- Patience and ability to work effectively with others.
- Associate's or
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Engineering.
- 4-7 years in a similar role within a manufacturing company.
- Experience with international shipping and invoice requirements.
