PLC Industrial Automation Programmer needed for an immediate 3 month contract role for a growing organization in the Greensboro, NC area to assist with the development, construction, and maintenance of our customers' industrial control systems.
Need three individuals ASAP to assist in meeting a critical timeline for our customer, remote work is ok and opportunity for direct hire conversion for the right candidates.
The ideal candidate for this role must possess superior skills in Industrial Automation programming. Seeking candidates with proven programming skills using Python scripting for database interface. Prefer SCADA, particularly Ignition by Inductive Automation to perform validation testing.

responsibilities:
- Write and optimize Python scripts to integrate and manage data flow between systems.
- Design and implement solutions for real-time data acquisition, monitoring, and control in industrial settings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Python scripts or Ignition SCADA applications.
- Develop custom modules and components for Ignition using Python and other supported languages.
- Optimize system performance and troubleshoot any data-related issues.
- Work on both the front-end and back-end development, ensuring that the user interface is functional, intuitive, and displays real-time data accurately.
- Create, manage, and maintain databases used in the said applications.
- Perform system updates, patches, and enhancements to improve security and functionality.
- Provide technical support for Ignition SCADA systems and Python applications to internal teams and clients.
- Develop and maintain clear, concise documentation for systems, processes, and Python scripts.
- Participate in regular code reviews and ensure adherence to coding best practices and industry standards.
