A Quality Technician is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in the Fairport, NY area. This role ensures product quality, compliance, and documentation review for Advanced Optics parts while collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve non-conformances, improve processes,

responsibilities:
- Ensure product quality and compliance with requirements.
- Disposition production events related to part and material non-conformances.
- Monitor metrics associated with job responsibilities.
- Support Plant Safety programs to maintain a safe working environment.
- Achieve department goals for safety, quality, and cost.
- Identify root causes of issues and implement improvement strategies.
- Drive simplification and continuous improvement processes.
- Perform administrative tasks for production events, ensuring timely progression and completion.
- Support quality processes such as Return Material Authorization (RMA), auditing, and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) as needed.
- Quality Control experience in a manufacturing or technical role.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills.
- Quick adaptability to new technology and processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Associate degree + 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment or
- High school diploma + 5 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
