A Project Engineer is needed for a Swiss multinational manufacturing company for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and nutrition sectors, in the Walkersville, MD area. This position will support the Endotoxin 2.0 project by managing schedules, tracking financials, coordinating submittals, handling equipment logistics, and providing administrative and technical support to ensure smooth execution, compliance, and alignment with project objectives.

responsibilities:
Project Schedule Management
- Review contractor schedules for accuracy and alignment with milestones.
- Update the master project schedule with input from the Construction Manager and Project Controller.
- Identify and escalate schedule risks or conflicts.
- Log, track, and coordinate submittals between internal teams, the Engineer of Record (EOR), and General Contractor (GC).
- Maintain submittal records in SharePoint and update the submittal log.
- Communicate status updates to stakeholders.
- Track equipment deliveries and address delays or discrepancies.
- Coordinate with the Construction Manager, Procurement, and vendors.
- Ensure accurate receiving documentation and storage in SharePoint.
- Use SAP to track financials and identify variances.
- Monitor InvoiceTrack (IVT) for timely payment processing.
- Escalate payment issues as needed.
- Document, track, and process CORs and PCRs.
- Assess impacts on cost, schedule, and scope.
- Ensure all changes are documented in logs and approved.
- Screen RFIs for completeness and assign them to appropriate stakeholders.
- Coordinate timely responses and maintain a comprehensive RFI log in Microsoft Planner.
- Review and analyze weekly engineering reports.
- Assist in identifying trends, risks, and variances.
- Prepare updates for bi-weekly review meetings.
- Review contractor pay applications for accuracy and completeness.
- Update the risk register with identified risks, mitigation plans, and resolutions.
- Align risk updates with schedule and financial forecasts.
- Communicate risk-related changes during project meetings.
- Create and manage tasks in Microsoft Planner to track key deliverables.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and project milestones.
