A Facilities Engineer is needed for a biomedical/biotechnology engineering firm and multinational manufacturer of medical devices in the Maple Grove, MN area. The role involves ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and improvement of facilities and building systems in a manufacturing plant, leading design and upgrade projects, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards, and managing budgets and cross-functional teams.

Facilities and Systems Management:
- Oversee the operation of critical systems, including:
- Process water systems.
- Clean room systems.
- HVAC and boiler systems.
- Incoming power, gas, and water supply.
- Compressed air systems.
- Fire protection systems.
- Building management and control systems.
- Process water systems.
- Monitor and maintain facilities systems to ensure compliance with cGMP, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Continually review systems for capacity, reliability, and energy efficiency, recommending improvements as needed.
- Lead system upgrade and improvement projects, including validation requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve facility and quality-related issues.
- Drive initiatives to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency.
- Build quality into all work by adhering to all quality requirements and standards.
- Prepare for and participate in quality audits.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations, GMP, and EHS requirements.
- Participate in the annual budgeting process, ensuring spending aligns with objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience, preferably in aseptic processing facilities (medical devices, pharma, food, data centers).
- strong expertise in MS Office Suite and project management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Substantial knowledge of facilities systems, preventive maintenance programs, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strict attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
