A Designer Discipline Technical Lead is needed for one of the world's largest suppliers of aerospace and defense products in the Everett, WA area. The Designer Discipline Technical Lead for the Cabin Integration team will oversee design projects, manage a design team, ensure timely and budget-conscious task execution, and collaborate across disciplines to meet project requirements and standards.

responsibilities:
- Understand the full SOW and divide tasks among the design team.
- Ensure all project requirements are met, including export control compliance.
- Provide design support and direction to the team.
- Track team assignments and progress.
- Review and approve models, drawings, and documents as the Design Supervisor.
- Ensure all tasks are delivered on time and within budget.
- Identify risks and propose mitigation plans.
- Coordinate with the Integrated Project Team (IPT) and collaborate across disciplines (e.g., electrical, stress, flammability, purchasing, operations, program management).
- Support manufacturing, operations, and testing as needed.
- Ability to multitask and manage several projects simultaneously.
- Independent research and investigative design capabilities.
- Experience with 3D solid modeling and drafting.
- Understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and Y14.100.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple departments and sites.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with NX CAD (formerly Unigraphics) and Siemens Teamcenter.
- Design experience with aircraft interior parts (e.g., sheet metal, injection molding, vacuum forming, 3D printing).
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, plus 5 years of relevant experience or
- An advanced degree in a related field with 4 years of experience or
- 9 years of relevant experience without a degree.
