We are searching for a Mechanical Designer in Largo, FL, to work at an industry-leading manufacturing company. Experience with Solidworks is required. This is a long term contract position that could lead to a direct hire role.

responsibilities:
- Use SolidWorks to create or modify models, drawings and DXF's of HVAC units, components, parts and assemblies.
- Develop innovative designs and solutions based on project specifications.
- Take ownership of the design and part selection of multiple products and become the subject matter expert in them.
- Execute the product development phase gate process to release new products and features.
- Execute design improvements to optimize manufacturability and increase product quality.
- Design and modify sheet metal and insulation parts and assemblies.
- Design and modify hydronic components including heat exchangers (aluminum fin, copper tube, steel casing) and piping packages (valves, y-strainers, flow control devices)
