A Quality Engineer is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in the Oneonta, NY area. This role involves managing and improving Quality Management System processes, including document control, internal auditing, regulatory compliance, and quality metrics analysis, to ensure adherence to ISO and FDA standards.

responsibilities:
- Perform change controls, create and update quality management procedures.
- Manage records and perform internal audits in compliance with the Quality Management System.
- Analyze data for quality management system metrics and support regulatory activities.
- Assist with quality management system projects and tasks.
- Prior experience with ETQ or other Document Management software preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other Quality System standards required.
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820 Quality Management Systems highly preferred.
- Internal auditor experience or training.
- strong attention to detail and accuracy in work execution.
- Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts (percentages, ratios, proportions) to practical situations.
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree,
- 3+ years of work equivalent experience (work in a manufacturing environment is preferred).
