A Senior Architect is needed for a leader in the world of Technical Services and Engineering in the Syracuse, NY area. The Architectural Engineer will oversee the design, construction, and commissioning of architectural systems for industrial facilities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, codes, and standards while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and providing field and commissioning support.

responsibilities:
- Review design drawings and specifications for completeness and accuracy.
- Review architectural elements in NavisWorks 3D models for functionality, egress, ease of maintenance, constructability, and coordination with other disciplines.
- Review and approve equipment and component submittals in coordination with Operations & Maintenance (O&M) staff.
- Review and approve shop drawings and construction models.
- Provide architectural support during the commissioning phase.
- Perform field architectural Quality Assurance (QA) during construction.
- Familiar with architecture and design practices, including drawings, specifications, codes, materials, costs, and construction techniques.
- Knowledgeable in IBC, ICC, Fire Codes, Life Safety Codes, and ADA requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to express ideas clearly, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to accept responsibility and honor commitments.
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture required.
- 8+ years of architecture experience, specifically in designing industrial facilities.
