A Project Specialist is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in the Wilmington, NC area. responsibilities:
- Create and update the master project schedule, incorporating critical decision points.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings with task owners to establish, evaluate, and update tasks, durations, and constraints.
- Analyze the critical path and constraints to assess the impact of changes on the schedule and recommend solutions.
- Send weekly emails highlighting tasks that are late or scheduled to start/end in the next two weeks.
- Regularly communicate driving predecessors that impact target dates to task owners and project leads.
- Coach and mentor leaders and task owners on the planning process and constraint resolution.
- Log all new information and provide scheduled reports for coordination and reporting purposes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project; experience with Primavera is acceptable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook.
- Experience with various execution methodologies such as waterfall, agile, sprint, lean, or last planning.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology or related field.
- Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project scheduling or related roles.
