A Sourcing Specialist is needed for a company that transports, distributes and generates energy, with diversified assets that include a balance between crude oil and natural gas in the Houston, TX area. The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for strategic procurement, category management, and supplier optimization of Technology and Information Services (TIS) commodities and services to drive value, cost savings, and alignment with enterprise objectives.

responsibilities:
- Oversee TIS support, aligning category goals with enterprise and stakeholder objectives.
- Develop sourcing strategies informed by TIS market dynamics and industry trends.
- Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and contracting for IT commodities and services.
- Execute complex sourcing projects within established processes and sourcing channels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess risks, options, and ensure compliance with technical requirements.
- Track and measure supplier performance to ensure value addition and cost savings.
- Maintain strong relationships with IT, business, manufacturing partners, and key supplier contacts.
- Lead initiatives for supplier continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to innovate, lead change, and take initiative.
- strong interpersonal, communication, contracting, and negotiation skills.
- Experience managing multi-discipline stakeholder engagement for effective teamwork.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
- 4-7 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
