A Senior Civil Engineer is needed for a leader in the world of Technical Services and Engineering in the Syracuse, NY area. This Civil Engineer role involves designing and reviewing greenfield industrial projects, ensuring compliance with standards, coordinating multi-discipline teams, and utilizing tools like AutoCAD Civil3D and Navisworks to deliver accurate, high-quality designs and construction support.

responsibilities:
- Review work to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and procedures, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Monitor the productivity and technical proficiency of assigned team members.
- Prepare and review design drawings, specifications, and engineering calculations for accuracy and completeness.
- Validate Civil elements in AutoCAD Civil3D or Navisworks 3D models for functionality, egress, maintenance, constructability, and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Review and approve component submittals in collaboration with O&M staff.
- Provide technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and junior Engineers.
- Validate construction RFI responses and approve shop drawings and construction models.
- Perform field engineering QA during construction and offer commissioning support.

- In-depth knowledge of industry practices, codes, and regulations.
- Ability to lead multi-discipline teams and provide clear work instructions in complex environments.
- Proficiency in engineering software, including AutoCAD Civil3D, Navisworks, WaterCAD, GIS, or equivalents.
- strong coordination skills for large industrial projects with multiple disciplines.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (required).
- 8+ years of experience designing greenfield industrial projects.
- FE/EIT certification required.
- PE license preferred.
- Experience with semiconductor projects, underground piping, conduit, and roadway design (preferred).
- Familiarity with design practices, building materials, construction techniques, and cost estimation.
- Knowledge of applicable standards, municipal regulations, and jurisdictional guidelines.
