responsibilities:
- Ensuring safe work practices and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
- Participating in the site's Safety Team.
- Developing and optimizing production methods to manufacture products efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Identifying and resolving production bottlenecks.
- Implementing process control using company's OPEX procedures.
- Monitoring and supporting SPC at the production line.
- Providing technical support for machining, programming, fabrication, finishing, testing, and assembly.
- Troubleshooting shop floor issues related to equipment, tools, materials, and design.
- Coordinating the plant's continuous improvement program.
- Reviewing design drawings for manufacturability, cost, and optimal product design.
- Leading projects to improve processes, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
- Participating in the Company's Best Practice team to share and learn from the wider engineering community.
- Providing backup for the Production Manager and other Process Engineers.
- Assisting with the recruitment and training of new production staff.
- Being available for on-call duties.
