A Strategic Buyer Senior is needed for a multinational manufacturing company that produces and distributes trucks, buses and construction equipment, as well as marine and industrial drive systems in the Greensboro, NC area. The Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist leads cost-reduction initiatives, develops and executes sourcing strategies, manages supplier relationships, and drives transformation projects while collaborating with internal stakeholders to optimize supply chain performance.

responsibilities:
- Initiate and drive cost-reduction strategies across assigned commodities.
- Establish and implement segment-specific sourcing strategies.
- Develop supplier relationship management processes for performance and integration.
- Set and achieve continuous improvement goals and programs with key suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and manage supplier integration plans with internal clients.
- Analyze market dynamics affecting materials/services availability and pricing.
- Monitor trends and adapt strategies to mitigate risks and leverage opportunities.
- Partner with internal teams to assess sourcing needs and develop buyer/market profiles.
- Define and maintain acceptable service levels and supplier standards.
