A Quality Inspector in the Grand Rapids, MI area is needed for a multinational power management company. The role involves providing inspection support for receiving and final inspections, ensuring product compliance through blueprint reading and GD&T, preparing AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports, and conducting audits to maintain quality and safety in a manufacturing environment.

responsibilities:
- Inspect products using manual layout, calipers, micrometers, plug and pin gauges with proficiency.
- Use Windows-based software, including Excel and Word, for documentation and reporting.
- Evaluate product compliance by understanding blueprints and GD&T principles.
- Prepare and complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) per AS9102 requirements.
- Conduct Assembly Floor Layer Process Audits and 5S audits to ensure safety, productivity, and quality.
- Proficiency in software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow product specifications, drawings, and work orders in English.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
