Immediate opening for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for a contract manufacturer of electrical, process control, motion controls, and automation systems in Bloomfield, CT. This role is onsite daily 8 am - 4:30 pm.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering plus 5+ years of experience in industrial automation.
- PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Electrical circuit design
- Pneumatic and hydraulic circuit design
- AutoCAD, Solidworks
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 as well as industry standards (NEC, ASME, UL, and CE)

responsibilities:
- Design, program, and commission industrial control and automation systems.
- Provide technical and sales support to customers and other engineering teams.
- Develop electrical schematics and drawings in AutoCAD
- Develop pneumatic and hydraulic schematics and drawings in AutoCAD
- Interpret mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic design drawings for electrical requirements
- 3D design using Solidworks
- Logic design using Omron and Unitronics PLC's and HMI units
- Develop Bills of Materials (BOM's)
