Position Overview:
The Quality Manager will be responsible for leading the quality control and assurance efforts in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. With a focus on blending and filling operations, you will ensure that all products meet or exceed rigorous quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will lead a talented team of engineers and technicians while driving continuous improvement through ISO audits and compliance management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead ISO Audits & Compliance: Manage internal and external ISO 9001 audits, ensuring full compliance with international quality management standards. Prepare for audits and ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) are addressed effectively.
- Quality Management Systems (QMS): Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the QMS, ensuring it supports operational excellence across all stages of production, from blending to filling.
- Team Leadership & Development: Supervise and mentor a diverse team of engineers and technicians, promoting a culture of quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Provide training on quality standards, best practices, and new technologies.
- Blending & Filling Operations: Manage quality processes specifically related to blending and filling operations, ensuring products are manufactured with the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and quality.
- Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis techniques. Implement data-driven strategies to reduce defects, minimize variability, and optimize production performance.
- Supplier & Vendor Quality Management: Work closely with suppliers to ensure materials meet the required quality specifications and ensure ongoing supplier performance through regular audits and evaluations.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain all quality-related documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and quality records. Present regular reports to senior management on quality performance and improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within the chemical manufacturing sector, with hands-on experience in blending and filling processes.
- Proven experience leading ISO audits (ISO 9001 or similar) and ensuring compliance with international quality standards.
- Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent analytical skills with experience in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., safety, environmental regulations) is a plus.
