A Contract Conformance Specialist is needed for a company that transports, distributes and generates energy, with diversified assets that include a balance between crude oil and natural gas in the Houston, TX area. The Contract Conformance Specialist ensures compliance with contractual obligations for assigned capital and maintenance projects, managing documentation, communication, and issue resolution while supporting project teams and maintaining alignment with company standards.

responsibilities:
- Understand and ensure compliance with project execution contracting strategies.
- Prepare and review contract exhibits, including scope, specifications, pricing, and special instructions.
- Write technical contract language for scope and pricing.
- Coordinate with contract management specialists to finalize contract documents.
- Support contract negotiations during the bidding and formation phases.
- Develop and coordinate project-specific communication plans.
- Train team members and third parties on contract conformance.
- Review contractor submissions for compliance and address deviations.
- Maintain logs for contractor correspondence and documentation.
- Manage the change order process, including logs, directives, and approvals.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, participate in meetings, and take notes.

- Proficiency in building collaborative relationships across departments.
- Familiarity with best practices in contracting and ability to negotiate complex issues.

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, legal, technical, or business discipline with 4+ years of related experience in legal, engineering, construction, or contract administration.
- Associate's degree with 7-10 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of contracting processes and energy industry construction projects preferred.
- Fundamental understanding of contractual documents and their utilization.
