A Supply Management Specialist is needed for an American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment in the Ankeny, IA area. This role involves sourcing, supplier management, and inventory planning to support order fulfillment, cost reduction, and process improvements within manufacturing and supply chain operations.

responsibilities:
- Executes Order Fulfillment Process (OFP) with a focus on cost reduction.
- Analyzes quotations and selects suppliers based on quality, cost, capability, lead time, and stability.
- Participates in resourcing activities and make-vs-buy decisions.
- Develops and executes inventory plans to meet asset management and material flow goals.
- Manages supplier relationships and resolves performance issues using quality and engineering support.
- Drives continuous improvement in supplier performance and cost reduction through the Achieving Excellence process.
- Collects cost data and prepares supplier cost/industry analyses.
- Expedites parts as needed to meet delivery requirements.
