Logistics Coordinator needed for an immediate contract opening in the Wilmington, Massachusetts area! We are seeking a professional familiar with shipping receiving processes with a knack for identifying and resolving issues when deviations from processes might occur.
The right professional will come from a manufacturing environment with the ability to manage all aspects of the supply chain process, from procurement right through to logistics. This person will possess top notch negotiation skills working collaboratively with new and existing suppliers.
A formal education is preferred, but a person with 10+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree ok.. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.

responsibilities:
- Coordinate administrative tasks related to shipping, receiving, logistics area and inventory management.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to prevent shortages and excess inventory.
- Interface between Suppliers, Supply Chain and Manufacturing to align schedules and resources for critical path items
- Translate Engineering bills of materials into actionable planning signals for the Supply Chain and Production teams
- Update trackers and ensure accurate information is provided to stakeholders for inventory record-keeping.
- Coordinate with logistics partners to arrange transportation and delivery of materials to project sites
- Maintain effective communication across teams
- Manage full product lifecycle demand and supply planning signals, with an emphasis on the transition from development to production
- Support MRP and product/project schedule alignment
- Be proactive in identifying and resolving issues when deviations from processes occur.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the supply chain function.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to procurement and logistics.
- Formal education in supply chain, business administration, or related field
- 10 years of experience in logistics, shipping, receiving, supply chain management, or procurement in liu of degree
- Solid understanding of supply chain principles, including procurement for manufacturing, inventory management, and logistics
- Proven experience in receiving and inventory management, with proven ability to follow established processes
- Proficiency with tools, such as ERP systems and inventory management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
