A top-tier client is currently seeking a skilled Manufacturing Planning Specialist to join their team and collaborate with Production Control, Planning, and Production teams to resolve consumption challenges at the factory.
In this role, you will focus on managing the consumption process, where inventory is assigned to specific jobs and marked as used. You will leverage SAP to ensure that all transactions are accurately completed in the system, enabling employees to properly allocate parts to the correct jobs. This position involves troubleshooting issues and coordinating efforts both physically and within the system. strong root cause analysis, teamwork, and execution within SAP will be essential for success.
Candidates must have experience working with SAP, error correction, and T-codes. Experience in planning or production control in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

responsibilities:
- Provide daily support to Manufacturing, Production Control, and Planning teams to improve and support consumption activities in SAP.
- Collaborate with Stockroom, Bonding, and Assembly management for problem solving and Continuous Improvement opportunities.
- Identifying and resolving issues to ensure production continuity and adhere to customer delivery schedules.
- Ability to work in all environments and with all types of teams- including, but not limited to hourly unionized employees, salaried and contract employees, and all levels of management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective SAP consumption plans.
- Report on SAP errors. establish, maintain and communicate a comprehensive work stoppage status; identify options for resolution.
- Lead troubleshooting process for Consumption errors and provide solution to Production Control and Operations teams.
- Flexibility to pivot to different priorities, work on special issues, projects or presentations.
- 4-year degree in Supply Chain or related field / or equivalent work experience in Planning or Production Control required
- Preferred APICS certification (CPIM)
- Minimum of 2-years using SAP 4 HANA and SAP EWM
- Experience with both troubleshooting and fixing systematic errors in SAP
- At least 2-years of experience in a manufacturing environment- preferably aviation manufacturing
- Previous experience as a production planner, inventory specialist, or similar field
- Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus, and adapt to a variety of challenges
- Priority management and ability to resolve conflicts (internally & externally)
- Ability to negotiate with and persuade others
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Team player and ability to coach others

- Knowledge of aviation manufacturing, supply chain, planning, engineering, and quality concepts; machine, sheet metal, casting, forging, forming, composite, and/or raw material commodities
