Houston manufacturer is seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead and oversee its teams in production, materials and quality. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred), Operations Management or similar, MBA a plus. At least 10 years of operational supervisory experience is required, with at least 5 years in a management position in manufacturing. Other required proficiencies include strategic planning, team management, budget management and reporting. This is moderate sized plant of less than 100 employees.

responsibilities:
- Lead the operational strategy and execution of high-level initiatives while ensuring that the company maintains efficient and effective operations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and manage teams to drive business performance, streamline processes, and achieve long-term operational goals.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure smooth coordination between functions, such as production, supply chain, quality, and customer commitments.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and optimize resource allocation.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of operational processes.
- Lead the performing operations team
- Collaborate with the finance department to create and manage operations budget
- Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers and external partners
- Prepare reports and make recommendations to the CEO
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred) or similar
- At least 10 years of leadership in manufacturing and 5+ years in a management role
- Proven track record of driving operational efficiency, cost reduction and continuous improvement

- Excellent analytical skills and data-driven decision making abilities
